dj playgurl made her move from
Palm Beach County to Orlando in 1996 to attend college
at the University of Central Florida.Three years later
she found her true calling and burst onto the club scene
throwin' down funky breaks and droppin' bass all over
O-town. Her first year behind the tables led her into
her first public appearance at the Leopard Lounge back
in 1999. From this first appearance she launched into
a guest spot on 91.5 WPRK, Rollins College Radio.
With a little confidence and a few gigs under her belt
dj playgurl stepped up her career as a dj and landed
a residency at Wingshack and Knightlights. Using these
nights to fine tune her skills and build up confidence,
playgurl went on to take downtown Otown by storm. Since
then, dj playgurl has hit Orlando's club scene hard.
From Club Empire to Alpha Bar, ICON(Red Velvet) to The
Matrix, The Club at Firestone, Tabu, AKA Lounge, and
the club formerly known as Barbarella, playgurl has
definitely made the rounds! When you catch one of playgurl's
sets, expect to hear funky, fun, high energy breaks
with a punk rock attitude! Currently, dj playgurl is
holding down a residency at Thee Grotto in Orlando every
1st and 2nd saturday night of the month. Playgurl has
also played alongside some of the baddest dj's in Florida
such as Jackal and Hyde, FIXX, Magic Mike,
Rob-E, Security, Jason Brown, Eric Beretta,
Superfly Jeff, JimmyJoslin, KJ of K5,
The One, The Only Dj Sandy
and many others! |
